20 Last Minute DIY Halloween Costumes

(photo via Funkytime)

Can you believe that Halloween is almost a week away? It crept up on me this year! Our costumes over the last few years have definitely been all over the map, and it seems to always come down to the wire in terms of what we will dress up as on that particular year. It takes a little research, a little DIY, and a lot of creativity to come up with a great costume. We think we have finally nailed down what we are going to be this year but in case you are still struggling, here are a few easy and last minute DIY costume ideas I've seen lately!

1. PiƱata and birthday girl! Make a pinata by fringing paper streamers and hot gluing them onto a T shirt and pants. Then just buy a blindfold and bat for the birthday girl! (via Brit + Co.)
2. Bandits. The best part about this costume is that you probably already have everything in your closet! (via Say Yes)
3. Bonnie & Clyde. Another easy and simple one if you want to use items you already have. (via Wedding Chicks
4. Pineapple. Have a yellow dress? Then you already have half of this costume! (via Studio DIY
5. Crazy Cat Lady. Get a bunch of kitty stuffed animals, wear your PJs and some crazy eye shadow, and you've become a crazy cat lady. (via Her Campus)
6. Cereal Killer. This is so clever and SO easy. Just empty some mini cereal boxes, glue them to your shirt with some fake blood, and grab a creepy knife. (via Buzzfeed)
7. Taxidermy Deer Head. All you need for this one is some cardboard and a pair of antlers. And if you are great at makeup (like this girl), this costume could be super cool. (via MakeZine)
8. Grapes! Blow up some purple balloons, attach them all over yourself, and your instantly a bunch of grapes. Careful not to get too close to anything sharp! (via ehow)
9. Jelly Bellys. Another easy balloon option! (via Don't Waste The Crumbs
10. Loofah. Buy a few yards of nylon matte netting in whatever color you like and then follow this awesome tutorial to become an instant Loofah. (via Crafts by Amanda)
11. Medusa. Pick up some rubber snakes and your local craft store and then braid them into your hair. Pair with a flowy, Greek goddess dress, gold gladiator sandals, and fun makeup. (via The Joy of Fashion
12. Party Animals. Wear your fanciest outfits and grab an animal mask to become a literal "party animal." (via Brit + Co.

16. Rabbit & Magician. Such a cute and easy couples costume. (via Say Yes)
17. Frankenstein Bride. Ok so you'd have to be really good at makeup and do some hardcore hair-spraying for this one, but if you could pull it off, it would be pretty amazing. (via Brit + Co.)
18. Sushi. Strap some orange, red or green pillows to your back with black fabric, wear all white, and put some chopsticks in your hair to dress as a piece of sushi! (via Mayuk
19. Tooth Fairy. I love Lauren Conrad's DIY take on a tooth fairy costume, made entirely from tulle. Have your beau dress up as a dentist to make this a couples costume! (via Lauren Conrad
