This week on Marlborough 9.12

^ birthday boating (photo cred: @banderin)

Happy Friday! This week was a fun one because we got to celebrate Josh's birthday out in Boston Harbor and play our last softball game of the season together. We sadly lost our game, but it was a gorgeous night to be beside the Charles River. I'm having a lot of trouble letting go of summer nights like these.

I was also planning some upcoming blog posts this week and want you to know that I am fully aware that I kind of abandoned the "DIY" aspect of this blog over the summer. I think I officially may be a seasonal DIYer! Once we got our patio decorated, planted and ready for summer, I was too busy spending sunny weekends seeking out the nearest beach or pool to stay home and work on projects. But I think now that we will be spending more weekends at home instead of traveling, the weather will be getting cooler, and football season is starting :/, I will have much more time to dedicate to creating. And don't worry, we have some fun ideas brewing! Especially some wedding-related ones. So expect to see a lot more DIY back on this blog very soon.
And here are some fun links from around the web this week!

  • I think Mac definitely needs one of these.
  • The first family robot is here. These might be the next big thing.
  • Someone strapped a GoPro to the happiest dog ever and the result is very happy.
  • I love this girl's voice!
  • I can't wait to see this movie.
  • Has anyone heard of InstaThis? A printed one our Instagram photos on wood for Josh for his birthday and he loved it. Such a great gift idea!
  • Are you an "Orange is the new Black" fan? Then you'll love these wedding photos.
  • This is the song I've been jamming out to this week (thanks Jca!)
  • This kid is an old man trapped in a little boy's body. Made me laugh so hard!
  • A 13 year old designer & prodigy hits Fashion Week.
  • Erin's wedding photos are up and they are beautiful.
  • If you live in New England, you could see the Aurora Borealis tonight!

Have a great weekend!
